The Backend Software Engineer will be involved in the technical implementation, management, and maintenance of backend microservices and APIs for Quantifeed’s award winning QEngine platform.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Include, but not limited to:
\n\u2022 Collaborate with the team to deliver new features in the backend and APIs.
\n\u2022 Participate in the planning and estimation of new feature items regularly and as needed.
\n\u2022 Work closely with project managers to understand functional requirements and design technical implementations.
\n\u2022 Coordinate with the frontend team when new or existing features are integrated into frontend applications.
\n\u2022 Maintain a focus on code quality, adhering to code standards and contributing to improvements across multiple projects.
\n\u2022 Continuously enhance the codebase, ensuring technologies are up to date with the latest updates.
\n\u2022 Develop and execute unit, component, integration, end-to-end, and performance tests.
\n\u2022 Provide support for the products throughout their entire lifecycle, including production and incident management.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Commercial experience with Typescript\/ES6 and C# (3+ years)
\n\u2022 Experience of creating and maintaining APIs
\n\u2022 Experience of working with Node.js, Express
\n\u2022 Experience of working with event driven systems and message queues technologies (e.g. AWS SQS, Kafka, NATS.io, RabbitMQ)
\n\u2022 Knowledge of testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest, TDD, BDD etc.)
\n\u2022 Experience of working with and querying SQL and NoSQL databases
\n\u2022 Proficiency in data modelling
\n\u2022 Familiar with various data formats (e.g., JSON, CSV and XML) and file processing
\n\u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
\n\u2022 Experience of turning functional requirements into technical solutions
\n\u2022 Great communication skills; approachable, articulate, confident and open-minded<\/p>\n

Bonus points for:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Knowledge of microservices and serverless technologies
\n\u2022 Experience with cloud services and hosting (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
